Starting as a casual writer in 2020, Thameena was chosen by us, the Senior Editors, to join the society as a member of the editing team in 2021. She has displayed qualities of diligence, integrity, and great skill in both writing and editing.

Thameena has written and edited numerous articles relating to the lifestyle and social aspects that encompass Her Campus’ mission statement. She is hard-working and always conducts her work in a timeous and respectful manner, and is able to engage well with article topics, as well as the semantics and form of articles. Her editing also showcases her detail-orientation as she often includes helpful notes and commentary to improve the overall quality of an article thus displaying an aptitude for language.

Thameena is a pleasure to work with. She is organised, communicates efficiently and timely with regards to availability for meetings and volunteering and/or giving ideas for content, making her a reliable contributor and integral member of the creative subcommittee.
Thameena has a diligent work ethic. Her posts are always handed in on time and often earlier than deadlines. She is welcoming of constructive criticism and open to new ideas. During a shift in leadership of the creative subcommittee, Thameena remained positive, motivated and proactive.
With regards to the content she creates, I am constantly blown away by the effort, thought and attention to detail she puts into creating work for Her Campus. She is always looking for an opportunity to create content that is trendy and conveys meaningful messages, while grasping and maintaining the new aesthetic Her Campus has adopted this year.
